Thank you, however the driver will not run in compatibility mode. I have downloaded the Intel Graphics driver from the Acer website, because Intel tells me it is a custom modified driver from Acer.
There are a number of different files received when I download the driver. Essentially, your solution cannot be implemented and Microsoft Windows 10 is not a finished product which enables the use of Screen Mirroring.
T hank you for the update and it must be difficult when things do not work as expected. What happens when you try to run the driver in compatibility mode? Did you receive any errors or the option itself is not there? Since you say that this driver is custom driver, it would be better if you contact the manufacturer and check if there is any updated version of driver available.

Mirroring of Windows 8 worked great, but Windows 10 shows the same behavior you are seeing. I have upgraded 3 of my computers from Windows 8. At least two of them worked before the upgrade never tried with the third before the upgrade.
All three machines are different brands with different graphics cards. While searching for a solution I found a few other people reporting the same problem with Sony players. This tells us two things:. I'm sad to hear that the latest generation of Sony players still has this problem. I ended up here because I was considering getting a new player, partly so I could use screen mirroring again. No point if it's still broken. Another option is to go back to Windows 8.

So that got me to wondering what's going on. Does anyone know? I worry that these blu-rays that won't play and that give the red warning message are somehow checking to confirm that a blu-ray player has perhaps a certain level of copy protection. Or maybe something worse, like when it says to update your blu-ray player it'll add copy protection that won't play my backups.

DOES the player still play the disc after showing the message? Look in your settings and see if there is some setting for firmware updates warnings. If there is, disable it and try again. If you cannot play that disc, then make yourself a back up and play it so you can. You were on the right track, just use a right media player etc. It will take you something less than 1hour, popcorn gets a bit cold but heck Personally I found it quite offensive to get this message using standard Blu-Ray player that suppose to be a guarantee for flawless playback What brand and model player do you have?
Can you name some of the titles that show that message and won't play? Lately I've been playing all my original BD 2d and 3d on the PS3 with the latest firmware with no problems but if I own any of the same titles I'll test them on my older 2D only Seiki.
